I thought wildlife photographers were chilled....

perhaps it is all that communing with nature...
being out of the rat-race.....
a daily reminder of basic animal instinct.....
I just really, really thought they were a chilled out bunch.
Not the type to bully a second-grader!

I was Googling hippos to show Mouse
I found a lovely blog from a little boy in second grade in the US of A - I think second grade is the equivalent of 6 or 7. He posts an animal a day, and what it eats and maybe another fact. Very sweet, very simple. Scout LOVED it, so I thought I would leave him a comment.
Firstly this is how he describes himself:

I am in second grade, I wear glasses and love animals.
I enjoy playing sports and playing with my friends.
I am Ethan.

Don't you want to just wrap him like a box of chocolates?

His first two comments are from his Uncle and Grand-pa ....I mean really, how sweet?
Then I scrolled down and saw this:

Hi Ethan – you have an excellent blog and it’s great that you love animals.
One of the pictures on your blog – of the hippo and baby – is from my website and I would appreciate it if you acknowledged the source and provided a link back to my site. Please confirm by email once you have provided a link.

Thanks,Scotch

What a friggin frippy-frap-friddly-fraaking-froupy-making CHOP!!!
I was so cross I went to "Scotch's" website and lo and behold he is a wildlife photographer, and the really lame thing is he too has a blog...EXACTLY LIKE ETHAN'S, but a grown-up version.
Well I left him a message telling him he is a huge bully. I mean really, the child is exactly that..A CHILD!!! I know by blog rules you ALWAYS have to leave a link back if you take a picture from somewhere - a common courtesy if you like, but really is this guy just so self-involved he can't see his remark is just mean? Why not say something like " that photo is one I took, it was an amazing moment blah blah blah, I have loads on my website http://www.wildlife-pictures-online.com/ and I too have a blog http://www.wildlife-pictures-online.com/wildlife-blog.htmlildlife-blog.html, so if you would like to use any more photos, can you ask people to maybe have a look at my site/blog whatever - keep up the good work" Why trample a child's good work and feelings?

Yes, okay so maybe I am all about feelings right now, but man, I just got cross.
So please go along to Ethan's blog
http://myanimalblog.wordpress.com/
I am now his biggest fan!

mY jOY:
Just before the last post I got this email from my Cuz....perhaps I should give some of these a go

And as Phoebe is cutting a new tooth, perhaps I should try these on her:

what do you mean you think it might be a bad idea? I think it's genius!
