5am is not okay!

So 5 is the new 7 in our house at the moment. Miss Mouse has taken to waking up at this early hour and comes trip - tripping into our room where I get "Mom, is it morning yet?" in my ear. She is so very well trained though, as on deciphering my muffled response, trip - trapps back to her room, and VERY considerately closes her door before switching on her light and playing until it is deemed a reasonable hour to actually be awake. Baby Mouse however, does not have this consideration and had a disco in her cot at 5:30 this morning. I was so very unamused. Of course this little soiree roused her sister who came trip - tripping to find out what was going on and if she too could get in on the act. No, no dear child, off you go and play as Baby Mouse will be going back to sleep by order. And incredibly she did....although she was asleep cradled in my arm in our snuggly bed. I slowly watched the clock ticking down the minutes until I knew it was time to awaken. It was a very tedious hour. My hand went to sleep after about 10 minutes as Baby Mouse's ginormous head was restricting blood flow,but on the upside, I was serenaded by Miss Mouse who was singing 'Twinkle, twinkle little star' into her cash register microphone. Apparently in her grocery store there is no clean up in aisle 4 but rather the customers get nursery rhymed into spending their money. Ho hum. And so starts another crazy day.


mY jOY: Baby Mouse is wearing a third generation t-shirt. I bought it about 5 years ago from The Cross for my niece and it has since come back to me, first to outfit Miss Mouse, and now Baby Mouse. I just love it!
