popping eggs

Am planning on having a duvet day today. I could be cleaning or ironing or some such home stuff, but am not, instead I have made the guilt free decision to enjoy my new Patricia Cornwall book, and relax. However, I was just getting comfy when I realised I hadn't sorted the chickadees yet, so went out in the rain (yes, it is raining again!) and got some new straw for their bed as well as some pellets, when my darling chicken, Sarsparilla, jumped into her box and laid an egg right in front of me! it was amazing! and I am feeling very jealous, come September I would love to be able to pop my baby out as easily!! ha ha
