I had to go out last night to work, and left Mouse with her awesome babysitter...with the strict instruction not to give her any more fluids ( we have finally got rid of the night nappy - whoop whoop!!!!) but sadly my little monkey wheedled some milk out of Sam....resulting in a frantic text message as I was driving home " she wet the bed, where are some spare bed covers!!?!?!?!"
Poor Sam! I got home shortly after and just put Mouse in our my bed - at least she fills up some of the space vacated by Mr. A. I don't really advocate having your kids sleep with you, but at the witching hour after a day of spring cleaning, doing about a million loads of laundry, cutting the lawn and then working that night, I was not about to start stripping beds....
I was lying quietly reading - for love or money I cannot get into bed and go straight to sleep, my brain always needs a wind down - and pow! there it was....hang on am I sure?....yip pow! there it is again....and again....our little baby was saying hello. I have felt some flutterings, but this was definitely our little one giving me a great big hello!
As far as your first proper movement from your growing baby goes, it could not have been more magical. It was quiet, I was cocooned in the gentle breathing of our first born, and thanks to modern technology Mr. A was right there to share it with me.
So hello little baby, I am so thrilled that you are letting me know you are there. Now just keep growing strong and healthy XXX
