I have just had the most sublime weekend. (well as sublime as it can be without Mr. A)
Our dear friends descended on Mouse and I from a land far far away....a land where GAP, John Lewis, Ikea, Cath Kidston and Whistles live....
They have two gorgeous children, and Mikayla is just about Mouse's age, and they play so beautifully together - you know that kind of playing where you can actually relax, have a cup of coffee and turn your ears off to children's chatter, and pretend you are an adult, not a referee, for more than 15 minutes? All weekend they just played and played and played. There wasn't a scrap of carpet to be seen in Mouse's room for all the toys..but happy children = very happy mommies! And their little boy....oh don't get me started on this little charmer! Those in the know will be raising their eyebrows right about now, as I don't really do boys very well, but this little man with his chocolate eyes, and ruddy cheeks......so cute!!!!!
Having their little family to stay was exactly what I needed - a real dose of some good medicine, and I am feeling healed - inside and out....maybe being African as well, Jill has a bit of sangoma in her!
And sorry, we were having so much fun I completely forgot to take any photos!
