zoo and growling....

so we went to the zoo...
I like zoos. I like seeing animals from home and I like that zoos have breeding programs for endangered species. What I enjoy watching the most is the animal in the homosapien variety. I won't go into my thoughts after today's jaunt....just that they were dark and very cynical...
so instead I shall delight you with a story from yesterday:
The following occurred in real-time between the hours of 1pm and 2pm.
Scout and I arrived home from nursery collection, and went straight into the back garden as it was a lovely sunshiny day.
Scout: I want raisins
Me: Mouse, you have just had lunch at nursery, there is still pineapple in your school bag AND you don't talk to your mother like that
Scout: I WANT RAISINS
Me....raising eyebrows and looking stern
Scout:I WANT RAISINS
Me: My girl you will not get anything talking to me like that, if you are hungry go and get the pineapple from your bag.
Scout stomped inside and attempted to slam the back door shut...but it just bounced right open...twice...
I lay down in the hammock
Scout came out huffing and puffing a bit
Her arms were folded across her chest, she was very frowny, and she proceeded to walk in little circles next to the hammock growling at me.....yes, GROWLING!!!!
I know I should not laugh, I know I have to respect her feelings but man oh man! it was so, so, so funny and I just collapsed in fits of giggles.
I know she gets the door slamming from me.....oops....
But where oh where did the growling come from.....?
Scout's retribution for not receiving any raisins came in the form of her mother's very burnt face, and she was wearing her sunglasses....so she looks like a badger!

mY jOY:
Scout showing Sam the Monkey the er..monkeys!!!
And a peacock's bottom....can't take a picture from the front as my Mom will tell you it is very bad juju to look in a peacock's eye
