our garden is divided by two kinds of grass.
The slope runner grass that Mr A. ripped up and now little baby grass seeds are growing in its place.
And
The thick, juicy side of the house grass that could nourish a dairy cow.
so
today was a lovely sunshiney day and I cast my eyes over the the thick, juicy grass and
SIGHED a SIGH
It looks a bit too juicy
Into the spider shed I venture
Out comes the mower.....after careful spider checking.....they just lay in wait for me I swear!
Out comes the extension lead....carefully manoeuvred through the window....
power...on
and MOW....
um, no
The juicy grass is just TOO juicy and there was no fly-mowing going on, my best effort only resulted in the grass all being brushed neatly in one direction....
I don't want friging pretty grass
I WANT SHORT GRASS
away goes stupid mower
mmmmm.......so I now have 2 choices:
1. Use the strimmer which is a pain in the behind
2. Buy a dairy cow
okay, so out comes strimmer....
after careful spider checking....
and EUREKA
It worked.....
....I think....
But my arms are sore and I now have the problem of cut grass all over the cut grass, so it leaves a trail from underfoot through the house!
ARGH!
THIS IS WHY BOYS CUT GRASS AND GIRLS VACUUM!
( Pippity-pops, please come mow my lawn.........(he handily owns a garden service) he sadly does not live ANYWHERE near me)
mY jOY:
So I was meant to make Sean's Thomas Cake for his party, but got out of it when his lovely Aunt wanted the duty....whew....left me to relax...oh no...I had to make the adult cake as Jo can't bake...at all! So on Friday night I made my famous chocolate cake mix and triumphantly put it in her oven......it FLOPPED .....TWICE!!!
I was devastated that my cake mojo was WAY OFF!
So today I decided to test and see what the mojo was feeling; and proceeded to make a lovely vanilla cake for afternoon tea...which was consumed in the hammock.....Scout left a trail of cakecrumbs down my cleavage....
making me think
it is not my cake mojo which is off
but rather Jojo has
BAD KITCHEN BAKING JUJU.......
