so I am SICK....as SICK A POOCH.....who is sick!
I hate being sick and I am really crap at it - I believe I always suffer from man-flu!
BUT
today has been filled with so many good things.
1. My dear Friends Tam and Wayne had their baby girl, welcome little Peyton.
2. It is my darling friend's birthday in New Zealand, so technically it isn't her birthday anymore...and she thought I had forgot but I surprised her this mroning with a call....although technically it was night for her.....and to celebrate her 31 years on this planet, she was playing rummy with her husband. Yip Jules, you really live a highlife my dear!!!
3. And I had a re-affirmation that there is someone who can look after my sister almost as good me!
My darling sister has been feeling a bit snowed under. Her lovely hubby is away on business, my cherubic niece is being not so cherubic and is having nightmares so won't go to sleep. And although she works at an amazing private school, the fact that it is so amazing, means it is a very pressurised job for all the teachers. Marking, marking and more marking seems to be the order of the day.
So after chatting to her last night I felt she needed something to perk her spirits, so I called her very dear friend Pamela. I have never met more genuinely lovely people on this earth ever than Pamela and her lovely husband Pierre. Pamela got on the case, regardless of how busy her life is ( she works with Dee ), and this afternoon an absolutely scrumptious chocolate cake arrived on my sister's doorstep!!! And boy, it cheered her hugely!
Pamela, I have said this before, and I say it again....with tears running down my face....I am SO GRATEFUL that Dee has someone as lovely as you in her life, you look after her in my absence. ( Not that she needs looking after...but you know what I mean) You are the most sunshiny, sunflowery, sumptuous lovely lady, and I send you big kisses. XXX
