....I just have so much to do today to get ready for our jaunt to London.
BUT
I did read my emails and have been inspired to say something.
When you start blogging, you learn about a whole new cyberworld. There are blogs to follow...blogs that follow you...bloggy etiquette to follow...inspirational crafts/recipes/ideas to find...and friends to make.
In the world of blogging I am small fry, but then my blog was only meant really for my family and friends to keep up with my mad musings.....and it is a whole bunch easier to put pictures on here of Scout instead of making sure everyone was included in the emails.....and I kept on crashing my mom's server by sending too high def pictures!
Then it evolved into an online journal for me, and something I can keep a hard copy of to show Scout when she gets older....a memory-maker in the making.
I have tried hard to stay true to my ideal that it is full of happy thoughts....but behind the scenes there can be lots of sadness and unhappiness. For instance, I put some cute photos up of Scout at Pennywell Farm last weekend, but didn't tell you that by the end of the day Mrs Rabbit - who had invited us along- was ready to slap me around the chops with whatever farm animal was handy, because I was SO INCREDIBLY grumpy, and snappy, and mean.....ALL DAY! I guess the good thing is every time I see that post I feel incredibly contrite and tell myself I must do better.....and am so thankful Mrs Rabbit is still my friend.
BUT the point I am trying to get at in this meandering kind of a way was this:
In bloggy world you can make bloggy friends....you find a blog you like, say hey to the author and sometimes strike up a friendship.
Well, I made a bloggy friend.....in America....and she is lovely, but having a bit of a poo time.
We have progressed to emailing each other and I received the most amazing email from her this morning. Here she is having a tough time, so I send some love and what does she do....? Reply telling me how lovely I am!!!!???? Did I say friends?...mmmm...maybe she should spend time with me....ha ha! I think...at the sage-old-age of 30, that in this life most people strive for only one thing - HAPPINESS.
Happiness for themselves and especially their children.
My bloggy friend has a byline in her email and it is:
"To laugh often and much, to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children, to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends, to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others and leave the world a little bit better.....to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded!" ~Emerson
HOW PROFOUND IS THAT!!!!
so dear bloggy friend. Thank you for your words. They came at a time when I really needed them, and ALWAYS ALWAYS know that I am here with a spare pair of big girl panties!!!!!
and go find my post when I declare that all woman are queens........because we are, and I said so!
( although you may not feel it just now, but I think you may actually be a super-hero, which goes way beyond queendom)
mY jOY:
Haven' t you guessed from recent posts.....
the word POO
doesn't it just cover so much...a noun that can be used as an adjective-brilliant!
