HaPpY NeW YeAr !!!!!!

We WELCOMED THE NEW YEAR WITH A BIG BONFIRE!!
Being African both Adam and I crave the heat and intensity of home....but being in a cold, wintery England we had to settle with a big bonfire....and what do you do when confronted with open flame?..........TOAST MARSHMELLOWS of COURSE!

Today we cleaned up outside, and Scout rediscovered her beloved bike .....it has been hiding under the covers since winter hit!

Funny things kids (say)..and do:

Mouse received the cutest little Winnie-the-Pooh ( Honey-pooh in her language) t-shirt from her Cousin, and debuted it today.

Me: Scout, show Dad your Honey-pooh....

Scout : Here Honey-pooh....pointing to her t-shirt...shortly followed by grabbing her CROTCH!!!!

SCout was also showing us that beneath her trousers she had on a HONEY-POOH NAPPY!!!!
WHEW!!


My New Year Resolutions:
I have decided to make some resolutions.....
no more alcohol - it is not worth the hangover, which seems to strike me about an hour after my first sip!
run a half-marathon!
yippee!


My Joy:
I put Scout to bed tonight.
Mr A. and I take turns.
We brush teeth.
Read a storybook.
Switch off the light.
Say our prayer.
Kiss Sam and More Sam.
Kiss Scout several times.
Pass over a bottle of milk and exit.
Except
tonight I lay with her for a little while.
I said an extra prayer...maybe in the Spirit of the New Year.
I gave an extra cuddle
and was rewarded with a kiss from Scout and an "I RUFF YOU MOMMY"
Little Mouse more than you will ever know....I RUFF YOU TOO.
