How time flies when you aren't looking!
We are all very well, I think cheered that spring has finally sprung. Scout is coming along in leaps and bounds - her talking is fabulous, and she is really getting her mouth around words - we are thrilled as it has taken long enough - we had ta, ja, mama, dada and baba ......and then nothing!! But she has suddenly decided to start chatting and she is doing so well. There is still alot of frustration as I think she wants to communicate more than she is able too and gets upset when we can't understand her. Her little body is not as quick as her mind and battles to keep up- poor baby! We have had an up and down time with childcare as Fiona has moved away with the Regiment and so a friend here on base, lisa, has been looking after Scout and shortly Gogo is coming from Zimbabwe for a couple of months to help us - what a relief as childcare costs are through the roof! I am busy doing a childminding course so that as soon as we can, I can stay home and care for Scout myself, as well as one or two other children - being away from Scout for 10 hours a day is so incredibly hard and when we pay half my salary on childcare anyway......well we just don't see the point! So hopefully in the next few months I can start doing that, and then when Ads finishes his course in Aug/sept and gets his posting, we can finally go along too and be a normal family ( although the thought of having to live together 24/7 has quite startled Adam and I ;-0 ) It looks like we might be based in North Devon which is WONDERFUL - right by a very sandy beach. But, as we have learnt, nothing can be set in stone as far as Adam's job goes and knowing our luck we will land up in North Scotland!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Adam's course seems neverending although he is more than halfway through, and at the moment he is doing a module on computor programming which he is finding very tiresome and tedious. I think he will be so relieved to get this course finished and then can put what he has learnt to good use. As per normal he has made some very good friends with a couple of the guys on the course with him, and add that to all the guys he has worked with in the past and it equals a telephone that doesn't stop ringing all weekend - I think it is a real testament to his character and I really hope that Scout has inherited his super-friendliness...at the moment she only seems to have my wilfullness and stubborness- haha.
