My darling sister joined us for Scout's birthday. It is sublime to have her visit and Scout LOVED having her Aunty Dee around. Most of her short stay was preoccupied with party stuff, but we did manage to have some time out to do fun sisterly/aunty things.
In between all the important shopping, we went to our favourite - Syon House Animal rescue centre and Butterfly House. Sadly the animal centre is closing as Mr Duke of Northumberland would rather build a hotel than worry about some animals ( do you sense my derision?) so we make the most of it whilst we can. Dee loved it as did Scout, we were even chased around by a huge tortoise which had drunk one red bull too many as he had quite some speed on him!
